Good morning, friends.

It struck me last night that I want to start using my Substack differently.

I’m going to use it to share more candid insights into what I do and how I do it. It’s the best way for me to share all of the knowledge I’ve accumulated about banking.

I’m going to start by giving you a synapsis of my last few weeks, which have been among the most intellectually exhilarating of my life.

All roads, in this case, lead to Peter Fitzgerald — former U.S. Senator from Illinois, scion of a great Chicago banking family, and founder and chairman of Chain Bridge Bank, the depository institution preferred by Republican PACs.
