Dissecting the Models of Top-Performing Banks

A prominent bank investor breaks down successful bank business models.

I’m releasing the recordings this week of a few sessions from the banking symposium I hosted last month in Dallas. There is no doubt that I’m biased, but I believe this is the most valuable content being created in banking today.

Yesterday, I shared my conversation with Ross McKnight, who I’ve come to think of as this country’s best banker — if you watch his session, you’ll see why. Ross runs the best-performing commercial bank in the country over the past two years.

The conversation I’m sharing in this post is with Jonah Marcus, a partner at Endeavour Capital Advisors. Jonah possesses one of the broadest lateral perspectives on banking today, with a rolodex that spans the industry. He joined me on stage to walk symposium attendees through the most successful business models in the industry.

In addition to the video above, I wanted to give readers a sense for the symposium, which this year I turned into a cinematic affair, not only by creating cinematic content for it but also by turning the event itself into a cinematic opportunity. The video below captures the essence of these special events.
